When two chefs specializing in Chinese cuisine tied the knot, we designed an invitation pack that beautifully reflected their profession.
“Wok hei,” the hallmark of masterful stir-frying, symbolizes the perfect balance of heat, seasoning, and timing that elevates Chinese dishes. In Chinese, “hei” also signifies an auspicious occasion.
The cover featured the double happiness character, with a “wok” embedded in the design. Inside, guests found a personalized invitation alongside a mini wok, cooking utensils, and wedding candies.
Unlike typical Chinese wedding cards, which are often discarded, many chose to keep this unique invitation pack. The guests expressed their intention to keep the items as decorations or use them as toys for their children and grandchildren.
